Cathedral Acoustics

St Paul's Cathedral is well known throughout New Zealand for the acoustics generated by its unique structure. The nave has a very high stone ceiling with many different curved surfaces. These surfaces reflect the music in many directions for a richer sound.

The newer section of the Cathedral has a longer reverberation than the nave and therefore generates a variety throughout the building. It is all very supportive of the singers helping them to project and to blend.
