Thy Kingdom Come: 30 May - 6 June 2019 - Lighting up the world with prayer

Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer. Bishop Steven is organising a continuous prayer roster for the Diocese over 72 hours from 8am on Thursday 30 May 2019, with the hope that we can see continuous prayer offered from the Diocese over this period. You are invited to be part of this for an hour or more, wherever you are - at home, in Church, with friends, at work, school, hospital. Prayer can be so varied - some like silence, others may prefer to sing. For some it will be in pairs or small groups, some are comfortable praying from books - prayer books or the psalms. Others like to pray as it come s to mind. You might feel you need to pray for your Church, ministry unit or area, it could be for the structures of the Diocese, for God to build his Church -regardless of denomination. You might like to pray for family members or friends - especially for more people to come to know Jesus Christ. For more information, and a sign-up link to the roster, visit the Diocesan website
